Abstract

Online education has become an integral part of modern language teaching, significantly influencing how learners acquire linguistic skills. This study examines the impact of online education on language development, focusing on learner engagement, language skill improvement, learner autonomy, and challenges within digital learning environments. Using a qualitative review of recent empirical studies and academic sources, the research analyzes both the positive and negative aspects of online language learning. The findings reveal that online education contributes positively to the development of listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills when supported by effective pedagogical approaches. However, challenges such as limited real-time interaction, technological barriers, and assessment difficulties remain. The study concludes that online education can be highly effective if combined with modern teaching strategies and appropriate technological support.
