CHRONIC PAIN IN PUBLIC HEALTH PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Chronic pain, defined as pain persisting for longer than three
months, is a significant public health issue affecting millions globally.
Unlike acute pain, chronic pain often persists beyond tissue healing and can
severely impact quality of life. This paper explores the mechanisms,
psychosocial impacts, and current and emerging treatment strategies,
providing a comprehensive perspective for public health interventions.
