Abstract
Chronic pain is a persistent condition that affects millions worldwide, often lasting beyond the normal healing period and significantly impacting physical, emotional, and social well-being. Unlike acute pain, chronic pain may stem from nerve damage, musculoskeletal disorders, injuries, autoimmune diseases, or unknown causes. This article explores the causes, effects, and various treatment strategies for chronic pain, including medical interventions, alternative therapies, and lifestyle modifications. A multidisciplinary approach—incorporating medications, physical therapy, stress management, and holistic treatments—can help individuals manage symptoms and improve quality of life. Understanding chronic pain is essential for developing effective pain management strategies and enhancing patient care.
