Abstract

Tourism is an important sector of Uzbekistan’s economy, contributing to economic diversification, employment generation, cultural preservation, and international cooperation. The development of modern tourism management methods has become increasingly important as the country seeks to strengthen its position in the global tourism market. Uzbekistan possesses considerable tourism potential due to its historical cities, architectural monuments, Silk Road heritage, traditional crafts, natural landscapes, and cultural diversity. However, the effective utilization of these resources requires innovative management approaches, digital transformation, sustainable development strategies, improved service quality, and stronger cooperation between public and private stakeholders. This paper examines modern methods of managing the tourism industry in Uzbekistan, focusing on digital technologies, strategic planning, destination management, human resource development, public-private partnerships, marketing innovations, and sustainable tourism practices. It also considers the importance of improving tourism infrastructure, diversifying tourism products, supporting local communities, and attracting investment.
