Abstract
In the era of digital communication, emojis have become an essential component of everyday language use. These visual symbols function as tools for expressing emotions, intentions, and contextual nuances in written interaction. The evolution of emojis reflects a shift toward multimodal communication, where text and imagery are combined to enhance meaning. This study examines how emojis influence modern grammar, particularly in informal digital contexts. It highlights their role in replacing words, modifying tone, and shaping new linguistic patterns. Emojis are widely used across social media platforms and messaging applications, making them an important subject of linguistic analysis. Emojis have also become a universal language understood across different cultures and age groups. They are especially popular among young people and play a key role in online interaction. The findings suggest that emojis contribute significantly to pragmatic competence and redefine traditional rules of written communication.
