Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of Suggestopedia in foreign language teaching and learning, focusing on its pedagogical, psychological, and cognitive dimensions. Suggestopedia, developed by Georgi Lozanov, is a humanistic teaching method that emphasizes the importance of relaxation, positive suggestion, and emotional comfort in enhancing language acquisition. The study investigates how Suggestopedia facilitates accelerated learning through the use of music, visualization, storytelling, dramatization, and creative interaction. It also examines its impact on learners’ motivation, anxiety reduction, memory retention, and communicative competence. Furthermore, the article discusses the role of teachers, classroom environment, and instructional design in effective Suggestopedic practice. The findings suggest that Suggestopedia significantly improves learners’ engagement, confidence, and long-term retention of foreign language material while promoting a stress-free and enjoyable learning environment.
