Abstract

The increasing complexity of modern foreign language teaching requires the application of comprehensive research methodologies. This study examines the role of mixed methods approaches in foreign language education and evaluates their effectiveness in integrating quantitative and qualitative data. A sequential explanatory design was employed, combining survey data with qualitative interviews. The findings indicate that mixed methods approaches provide a more comprehensive understanding of language learning by linking measurable outcomes with learners’ experiences. The study concludes that mixed methods research plays a crucial role in improving teaching effectiveness and supporting evidence-based practices in modern language education.
