Abstract

This article explores the causes, risk factors, and prevention strategies for psycho-emotional changes during pregnancy. Pregnancy is a critical period marked by hormonal fluctuations, physiological transformations, and psychological adjustments, which can lead to emotional instability, anxiety, mood swings, and depressive symptoms. Untreated psycho-emotional disorders not only affect the mental and physical health of the mother but may also negatively influence fetal development and birth outcomes. Modern prevention approaches—such as early psychological screening, counseling, stress management techniques, balanced nutrition, physical activity, and family support—are analyzed as key measures to ensure maternal mental well-being and healthy pregnancy outcomes.
