Abstract
This study explores the structural, semantic, and cultural dimensions of idioms in Uzbek and English. Idioms not only serve as tools for colorful expression but also encapsulate cultural heritage, traditional beliefs, and social practices. By employing a comparative approach, the paper reveals how historical contexts, societal values, and linguistic evolution shape idiomatic expressions in both languages. The findings suggest that understanding these idioms enhances cross-cultural communication and provides deeper insight into the worldview of their respective speakers.
