Abstract

In recent years, podcasts and audiobooks have gained popularity as effective tools for enhancing listening skills in language learning. This paper explores their impact on learners’ comprehension, pronunciation, and overall language proficiency. The study reviews existing literature, highlighting the cognitive and linguistic benefits of audio-based learning. Using a mixed-method approach, data from language learners and educators are analyzed to assess the effectiveness of these resources. The findings suggest that integrating podcasts and audiobooks into language curricula improves listening comprehension, fosters learner autonomy, and provides exposure to authentic speech. The paper concludes by recommending strategies for maximizing their benefits in language education.
