Abstract

This article examines how compound words (Komposita) enrich the German lexicon. It focuses on their structure, meaning, and role in expanding vocabulary, as well as their connection to cultural and technological developments. The study concludes that compounding is one of the most effective and flexible ways of lexical enrichment in German.
