Abstract

In recent years, the use of vocabulary on social media platforms has become increasingly popular. This research examines the impact of social media on vocabulary development and analyzes how social media platforms contribute to the acquisition and expansion of vocabulary among students. The study looks at various types of vocabulary gained from social media, including formal and informal language, slang, and idiomatic expressions. It emphasizes both the positive and negative aspects of social media’s role in vocabulary acquisition and demonstrates its influence on students' language skills in the contexts of formal education and personal communication.
