Abstract
This article is about the actual problems of both comparative and contrastive linguistics that play a crucial role in the study of linguistics. Comparative and contrastive linguistics are closely related fields that study the similarities and differences between languages. Comparative linguistics focuses on the historical development of languages and their relationships to each other, while contrastive linguistics compares two or more languages at a specific point in time, typically to identify their similarities and differences in order to facilitate language learning or translation. This article explores the actual problems faced by these fields, including the challenges of data collection and analysis, the need for interdisciplinary collaboration, and the practical applications of comparative and contrastive linguistics.
