Abstract
This thesis examines the methodology of teaching foreign languages for specific purposes in European vocational education and explores opportunities for implementing effective practices in Uzbekistan. In the context of globalization and the internationalization of the labour market, foreign language proficiency has become an essential component of professional competence. The study focuses on communicative language teaching, task-based learning, work-based language training, and the integration of vocational content into foreign language lessons. A qualitative analytical approach is used to examine these methods and their relevance to vocational education. The analysis suggests that connecting language learning with professional tasks can support learners’ communicative competence, motivation, and readiness for employment. The thesis concludes that adapting European pedagogical practices to the needs of Uzbek vocational schools may contribute to improving the quality of foreign language education.
