Abstract
This article discusses the pedagogical importance of extracurricular activities in teaching French to primary and secondary school students. The research analyzes the effectiveness of using children’s and adolescent literature, including poems, fairy tales, fables, and comics, as didactic tools in language learning. Special attention is paid to interactive teaching methods such as dramatization, role-play, gamification, digital storytelling, and multisensory learning approaches. The study highlights the influence of extracurricular activities on the development of communicative competence, pronunciation, vocabulary acquisition, grammar skills, and learners’ motivation. Furthermore, the article emphasizes age-appropriate methodology and innovative pedagogical strategies for improving language acquisition. The findings demonstrate that extracurricular activities create a motivating and creative environment that enhances students’ linguistic, cultural, and communicative competencies in French language learning.
