Abstract
Sleep is a vital physiological process that plays a crucial role in physical health, cognitive function, and emotional well-being. Sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, and circadian rhythm disturbances, represent a growing public health concern due to their high prevalence and significant impact on quality of life. Recent advances in sleep medicine have improved our understanding of the neurobiological mechanisms of sleep regulation, the consequences of sleep deprivation, and modern diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. This article explores the importance of sleep, the classification of sleep disorders, and contemporary strategies for their diagnosis and treatment.
