Abstract
The expansion of digital technologies has introduced a large number of English lexical items into contemporary Uzbek. Many of these items do not enter Uzbek as independent verbs. Instead, they combine with Uzbek auxiliary verbs and form hybrid expressions such as download qilmoq, upload qilmoq, share qilmoq, and save qilmoq. This thesis examines the structure and functions of such English–Uzbek hybrid verb constructions. It argues that these expressions demonstrate the adaptability of Uzbek grammar and the active role of speakers in integrating international technological vocabulary. The study is based on a review of research on lexical borrowing, language contact, and morphological adaptation.
