Abstract
This article explores the opportunities of corpus linguistics in teaching Academic English in higher education. It examines how corpus-based instruction enhances learners' academic vocabulary, grammatical competence, collocational knowledge, and academic writing skills through the analysis of authentic language data. The study also highlights the role of corpus tools in promoting data-driven learning, learner autonomy, critical thinking, and evidence-based language analysis. Furthermore, the article discusses the pedagogical benefits and practical applications of corpus linguistics in English language education. The findings suggest that corpus-based teaching significantly improves students' academic communication skills and prepares them for successful participation in international academic and professional contexts.
