Abstract
This article examines the importance of literary translation in intercultural communication and analyzes the major challenges encountered in translating literary texts. Literary translation is not merely the transformation of words from one language into another; it is also the transfer of cultural values, artistic imagery, national identity, and aesthetic meaning. The paper discusses translation equivalence, stylistic adaptation, metaphorical expressions, and poetic interpretation. Special attention is given to the translation of poetry and the preservation of artistic devices in translation. The study also explores modern translation strategies and the role of the translator as a cultural mediator.
