Abstract
This article examines the complex and актуal issues of compound sentence theory in modern Uzbek linguistics from a systemic perspective. In particular, the concept of the “compound sentence” is reconsidered, and the necessity of interpreting it as a “complex syntactic construction” is substantiated. The study analyzes the relative independence of components, their nature as a set of predicative units, and the phenomenon of super-predicativity. Special attention is paid to semantic-syntactic asymmetry, the notion of proposition, and the principles of redundancy and economy in language. The findings highlight the importance of analyzing such structures not only formally but also at semantic and textual levels.
