Abstract

Storytelling has long been recognized as a powerful pedagogical tool in language acquisition, particularly in foreign and second language classrooms. This paper explores the effectiveness of using storytelling as a method for developing vocabulary, listening comprehension, and speaking fluency in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. Based on a classroom-based study with intermediate-level students, the findings reveal that storytelling significantly enhances learner motivation, memory retention, and communicative competence. The study recommends integrating storytelling into language curricula as a context-rich and student-centered teaching strategy.
