Abstract
The development of independent thinking skills in elementary school reading literacy classes is one of the most important and pressing issues of the educational process. This process serves not only to form the reading skills of students, but also to expand their circle of thinking, to develop logical and creative thinking skills. Independent thinking allows the reader to freely express his opinion, deeply understand the read text and independently master new knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to the development of independent thinking in elementary school reading literacy classes.
