The rapid advancement of technology has significantly influenced the evolution of modern English, reshaping how language is used in both spoken and written forms. From the creation of new vocabulary to the widespread use of abbreviations and emojis, technology has introduced both challenges and opportunities for language development. This article explores the various ways technology has impacted English, including the emergence of neologisms, changes in grammar and punctuation, the influence of social media, and the hybridization of languages in global communication. Furthermore, it highlights the role of technology in shaping communication practices, from the rise of instant messaging to the development of voice-to-text and AI-driven language tools. As technology continues to evolve, so too will the English language, adapting to new mediums and forms of interaction.
