Abstract

The article examines modern approaches to monitoring and controlling the stability of continuous welded rail (CWR) used in modern railway infrastructure. The research analyses thermal stresses, ballast resistance, track geometry deviations and fastening conditions that influence the longitudinal stability of rail strings. A complex monitoring concept integrating temperature sensors, geometric measurements and digital diagnostics is proposed. The results demonstrate that the implementation of integrated monitoring technologies can significantly improve railway safety and increase the durability of rail infrastructure.
